High growth speaker series: Kevin Hindle on growth by community context strategy

Prof. Kevin Hindle is one of the world's leading professors of entrepreneurship, most notably for his ground-breaking research in the model of entrepreneurial process and how this process is affected by community factors. Kevin shares with you how to evaluate an opportunity in the context of a community with a systematic approach that you can apply to your own venture immediately. 


Kevin applies leading-edge entrepreneurship research to create profitable innovation. He has initiated new ventures, and mentored profitable innovation in established businesses by working for and consulting on entrepreneurship to organisations large and small, public and private, Australian and international.

As a scholar, he has over 80 peer-reviewed publications and global experience in teaching and research. He has won the highest award for Entrepreneurial Education in both Australia (Entrepreneurship Educator of the Year) and America (the Academy of Management Award for Innovative Pedagogy).

Kevin creates, maintains and develops the intellectual property of IMENCA Limited. IMENCA is an organization that franchises practical knowledge systems that enable organizations to evaluate opportunities and conduct innovation initiatives with the lowest possible risk for the highest possible return. A core IMENCA product is the Business Evaluation Calculus (BEC). About the series

The High Growth Speaker Series is dedicated to the strategic, tactical and psychological development of high growth entrepreneurs. Grounded in cutting edge entrepreneurship research and science, the series is designed and hosted by RMIT Lecturer and high growth entrepreneur, Lauren Rielly.

  • RMIT’s Global Entrepreneurship students receive a closed one hour lecture at 5.30pm each Thursday. 
  • High growth speakers take the theatre stage at 6.30pm to share their story, wisdom and action steps. Each event in the Speaker Series has been made open to the public, for the first 50 people to RSVP. 
  • 7.30pm kicks off the entrepreneurship social event at Oxford Scholar Hotel.
