Jim Connor is a global leader in Angel Investment and is on the Board of Directors for the US Angel Capital Association. He has strong investment interest in emerging education technology and is the Producer and Host of talk show Game Changers Silicon Valley. Jim shares with you, live from San Francisco's Silicon Valley, what makes a global opportunity investable and how to get yourself and your opportunity on the game changers watch list.


Jim Connor is on the US Angel Capital Association’s Board of Directors, is Producer and Host of talk show Game Changers Silicon Valley, President of Sand Hill Angels and CEO of First Focus Learning Systems.

Jim was founder and CEO of SymPro, Inc., which was acquired by JP Morgan Chase in 2003. He continued as Divisional President until 2007 providing treasury and portfolio management software solutions. His experience focused on providing the institutional investor with the tools to analyze, manage and evaluate the performance, risk and compliance of investment and debt portfolios.

Jim has since been involved as an investor and advisor to emerging technology companies with an active interest in Education. Specifically the deployment of digital technology in education applications and curriculums for a variety of educational experience and demographic groups. He currently is the producer and host of Game Changers: Silicon Valley, a talk show about innovation available on Youtube at: Game Changers: Silicon Valley. In July 2015, a separate channel was launched focusing on entrepreneurship and innovation taking place in various countries, the link is Game Changers.

About the series

The High Growth Speaker Series is dedicated to the strategic, tactical and psychological development of high growth entrepreneurs. Grounded in cutting edge entrepreneurship research and science, the series is designed and hosted by RMIT Lecturer and high growth entrepreneur, Lauren Rielly.

  • RMIT’s Global Entrepreneurship students receive a closed one hour lecture at 5.30pm each Thursday. 
  • High growth speakers take the theatre stage at 6.30pm to share their story, wisdom and action steps. Each event in the Speaker Series has been made open to the public, for the first 50 people to RSVP. 
  • 7.30pm kicks off the entrepreneurship social event at Oxford Scholar Hotel.
